Repairing Portable Staging Deck Platforms and Riser Legs.

We are often asked if its possible to repair staging and refurbish stage deck platforms.

Are you tired of constantly throwing away your old, worn staging deck platforms? Are you wondering if there is a way to refurbish them and save some money? The answer is, in some cases, yes!

Here at NexGen Portable Staging, we understand that sometimes a little TLC is all your staging needs to be as good as new. That’s why we offer repair parts supply for tired or old staging decks.

Parts Kit

One common issue with aging staging decks is torn or frayed carpeting. But fear not, because we can easily re-carpet the decks and make them look brand new. However, there are other recurring problems that can make using old staging decks a hassle. In lockable systems like, Revostage, Gopak, Alustage and intellistage locks can get stuck, Allen key holes can get rounded off, locking cleats can fail, and sometimes the decks get locked together. But don’t worry, we have solutions for these issues as well.

Our online staging advice YouTube channel features tutorials on how to fix these common problems with inferior manufactured staging decks. And if you’re tired of dealing with these issues altogether, we offer a trade-in program where you can exchange your old staging decks for our new NexGen Magnetic ones, available on our website.

But here’s a fun fact: did you know that in most cases, the only thing stopping you from using your old staging decks is the locks? Our Next Generation decks and risers are lock-free, making them the perfect solution for replacing older staging decks. Stay tuned on our staging video channel for a tutorial on how to use our risers with your old Revostage & Ultralight decks.

Will I be able to get the pins out of revostage risers too?

    28 October 2016 at 16:32
    • PortStage Reply

Not the old revostage riser version as the pins are push fitted. The newer version however is a screw pin and with a bit of manipulation you should be able to get it out, to replace the aluminium poles.

We have a new Church we would like a portable staging but it has a cobbled floor, can you help?

    9 November 2016 at 19:52
    • PortStage Reply

There are only two real options for you. Place leveling mats in the area prior to placing the staging down, or have a bespoke joiner make a stage to suit.
NexGen staging is designed for level floors, there is up to 4mm height adjustment possible, BUT, its likely that wouldn’t be enough to take out the un-evenness of the cobbles. Sorry.

Will NexGen portable staging fit in our car boot?

    9 November 2016 at 20:00
    • PortStage Reply

Yes, assuming you have a family car size. The width is 1000mm at the max, so just check your car first before ordering. Most cars can accept that width even if you have to angle them or put the back seats down. Thats the beauty of NexGen portable staging. it stores and transports in such a small space.
