Temporary Staging – Schools and Portable Mobile Staging

Temporary staging is a great solution to the multi-use nature of the modern primary school.

We all remember the school hall, doing so many different things, from Nativity Play’s, gym and even eating your lunch. There’s so many activities take place in the school hall, it certainly has to be a very versatile space.

Temporary staging is a great solution for primary schools that simply don’t have the space to leave a permanent stage in situ. Our NexGen staging is among the fastest stage in the world to set-up. Taking just a few minutes to assemble a 3 x 3m stage, one person can complete the task in under 5 minutes actually.

The staging is stored in just a 1x1m square area, and fits into most school store cupboards. Many schools store the staging in the corner of the hall, on one of Portable Stage’s trolleys. This can be rolled into situ, and the staging decks and risers assembled without any keys, or locks that can fail on other staging brands.

School teachers need a quick and simple solution that lasts, and the NexGen staging offers all these features and special offer pricing. There’s also education arts and leisure discounts available from the RRP pricing making the temporary staging solution an essential part of the school’s budget purchase.

The applications available for use, go much further than the simple stage for the children to perform their nativity or drama performances. It can be used in smaller modules, for Catwalks, Fashion shows, awards tiers, podiums, speaking platforms, musical conductor podiums, photo-shoot staging and so on.

It truly is a temporary stage, that becomes part of the essential equipment a school has on site.

Whats the point load of the platform

The point load of NexGen staging can differ depending on the application. Its complicated to calculate the exact point load, but good practice is to try and spread the point load as much as possible. This can be achieved by using laser cut steel plates, when using items like pianos, and displays on the staging.

Is carpet the best option for a conference event

Hello, yes, people usually use carpet on staging for conference applications. Mainly due to the fact it has a low sound element when walked on. The tough finish is usually used in heavy duty applications like, musical band, drummer and dancing type uses.

Do you supply a staging fascia, to hide the legs, ideally one in multiple colours to match the carpet?

Hi, yes we manufacture a quick fit, hardboard fascia valance, in all depths to match the height of the staging. Its very easy to attach and literally takes seconds. It comes in 1m lengths and 520mm lengths, in all depths. Its available in black as standard valance, but we can offer other colours at a premium cost. NexGen hardboard valance is very economical and is often less expensive than the cloth valance version. It also lasts the full lifespan of your staging. It has fast-fix fasteners compatible with NexGen staging alone. Hope that helps.
